Dr. Patrick Hayes

Biography

Patrick Hayes is a professor of chemistry at Université de Montréal and has an extensive publication record in the fields of the atmospheric science and environmental chemistry. Professor Hayes has performed field measurements of aerosols in the Arctic at Eureka, Nunavut and in other remote settings including Kluane Lake, Yukon. He has collaborated with researchers at Environment and Climate Change Canada and the Environmental Protection Agency to update the aerosol modules in various air quality models demonstrating his capacity to translate research results into usable tools for forecasting that guides policy makers. He has obtained $7,390,000 in research financing from NSERC, CFI and other research organizations including $1,390,000 as principal investigator, has 33 articles published or submitted, including 6 articles as corresponding author with an h-index of 23 and 1407 citations.
