Adam T. Ford, PHD
Biography
Adam is an Assistant Professor and Canada Research Chair in Wildlife Restoration Ecology in the Biology Department, University of British Columbia, Okanagan Campus, Kelowna BC. He is a member of UBC-Okanagan’s Biodiversity, Resilience, and Ecosystem Services Institute and UBC-Vancouver’s Biodiversity Research Center. Adam was a Liber Ero Postdoctoral Fellow, working on links between animal movement and land use policy. Adam received is PhD from the University of British Columbia, where he studied food web dynamics involving large carnivores, antelope, and plants in central Kenya. Adam is the recipient of several national and international research awards, including the AAAS/SciLife Lab Young Scientist Award, the Governor Generals Gold Medal, the TWM Cameron Award from the Canadian Society of Zoologists, the Early Career Award from the American Society of Mammalogists. Adam’s research is currently funded by the National Sciences and Engineering Research Council, and the BC Habitat Conservation Trust Foundation.
