Matthew Berry, MPP, FRCGS
Having helped design, launch, and build CMN as a national not-for-profit organization since 2016, Berry advises and supports the Executive Director with strategic planning, organizational development, and partnership development. His previous roles with the Network included Director of Partnership Development, Managing Director, and Interim President.
Over the past 15 years, Matthew has gathered both academic and professional experiences to develop himself as a “cross-sector leader”. His work in not-for-profits, post-secondary institutions, business, and government has provided a set of transferable skills that allow him to work confidently in multiple contexts. More importantly, his diverse experiences offer contextual intelligence to understand the important differences between sectors, as well as the contributions that each can bring to the table to serve the common good.
The aspect of Matthew’s work that motivates him at the start of the day and gives the most satisfaction at its end is building solutions-oriented, intersectoral coalitions of leaders and innovators.
Matthew grew up spending his weekends in the Canadian Rockies and later met his wife while living in Canmore, AB. Along with their two sons, they are blessed to spend time exploring mountain places across Canada and around the world.
Matthew a également une connaissance pratique du français.
