Olivier Tremblay-Pecek

Biography

Olivier Tremblay-Pecek, M. Sc., is a college teacher in the field of Geography. He is currently working in a Cégep where he teaches regional geography, research methodology as well as introduction to quantitative methods. He has also co-lead field classes related to mountain tourism in the Charlevoix region. Olivier is an avid skier and lover of outdoor activities. These interests have lead him to study the promotion of mountain tourism in the province of Québec. He has completed a Master degree in geography at Université Laval in 2014. He also has a second cycle degree in pedagogy from the same institution (2015). Olivier’s research interests are in the fields of tourism geography, teaching and learning geography, as well as environmental geography. He strongly believes in the benefits of a multidisciplinary approach to learning. He recently worked with a team to develop a participative learning project that combined geography, land use and art.
