Sarah Osberg

Biography

Sarah has been leading groups in mountain environments since 2001, and joined the Adventure Studies Department in 2014. She has led courses for outdoor educators, guides and leaders in mountaineering, rock climbing and backpacking with Outward Bound, Canadian Outdoor Leadership Training and the National Outdoor Leadership School. Coming from the coast, Sarah has a passion for both the mountains and the ocean. She holds water-based certifications as a guide trainer with the SKGBC and instructor trainer with the RCABC. Mountain-based certifications include ACMG Hiking Guide and professional standing with the CAA. Sarah’s interests involve expedition-based learning, creating a connection to and understanding of our natural environment and leadership development.
