Alexandra Pulwicki is a glaciologist who also dabbles in snow science. Her current work is focusing on characterizing the spatial variability of winter snow accumulation on alpine glaciers. A highlight of her project was conducting a two week snow sampling campaign in the St. Elias Mountains, an area full of steep mountains and dynamic glaciers. She finds joy in applying her love of math and programming to the fascinating and beautiful world of snow and ice in mountainous areas.
